7x24 Exchange International Presents Lifetime of Service Award to Dennis D. Cronin at 2024 Fall Conference

At the 7x24 Exchange Fall Conference (Oct. 20-23) in Phoenix, Dennis D. Cronin was presented with the 7x24 Exchange International Lifetime of Service Award for his lifelong career and commitment to the mission-critical industry.

October 22nd, 2024 – 7x24 Exchange, the leading knowledge exchange for those who design build, operate and maintain mission critical infrastructures recognized one its founders, Dennis Cronin, at the 7x24 Fall Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.

Bob Cassiliano, Chairman & CEO of 7x24 Exchange International and President & CEO of Business Information Services, presented Dennis D. Cronin with the 7x24 Exchange International Lifetime of Service Award for his lifelong career and commitment to the mission critical industry.

“7x24 Exchange International is honored to recognize Dennis for his lifetime of accomplishments,” said Mr. Cassiliano. “Dennis has been deeply involved in 7x24 Exchange and its chapters throughout its 35 years. Dennis’ passion, commitment and leadership has had a major impact on the industry.”

Dennis Cronin co-founded the Uninterruptible Uptime Users Group (UUUG), now known as 7x24 Exchange International along with the late Ken Brill, the late Alan Freedman, Frank Gialanella, Paul Fox, John Jackson and Howard Levison in 1989. Having built and operated mission critical facilities across the United States, Mr. Cronin has over 40 years of mission critical experience in the design, construction, and operations of data centers.

For the last decade, Mr. Cronin’s focus has been on developing data center education at the college and university levels as well as a board member of the credentialing non-profit known as the Mission Critical Global Alliance. These organizations are part of his continuing efforts in spotlighting the data center industry and educating the next generation of talent.

Dennis accepted the award and was joined on stage by his wife, Deborah Cronin and surprised by his daughters Lindsay Cronin of Wasilla, AK and Amanda Rumore of Lynchburg, VA.

“It’s truly an honor to receive this prestigious award,” said Mr. Cronin. “You don’t get here by yourself, those who have helped me are the ones that really deserve the credit. First and foremost, thank you to my wife, Dr. Debbie for her support. To those I’ve crossed paths with in the industry throughout the years and all of the attendees and volunteers who participate and bring life to the association, thank you all very much for your contribution.”
