Nomad Futurist to Support Canada’s Largest Student-Run Hackathon, CxC Hackathon

Nonprofit to highlight its learning platform and job board to inspire next generation talent for the mission critical data infrastructure industry.

February 4, 2025 – New York, NYNomad Futurist, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering innovation and education within the data infrastructure and technology sectors, is proud to announce its participation in the CxC Hackathon, powered by Federato, Canada’s largest student-run hackathon. Organized by the University of Waterloo Data Science Club, the event is set to bring together student minds and industry leaders to tackle real-world challenges through creative, tech-driven solutions.

The two-week hackathon kicks off on Saturday, February 8, 2025, and as a Silver Sponsor, Nomad Futurist will be onsite to support participants and share valuable insights. During the Opening Ceremony, Ilissa Miller — Advisor to the Board and Ambassador for the Nomad Futurist Foundation, and Founder and Chief Executive Officer of iMiller Public Relations (iMPR) — will take the stage to introduce the foundation’s mission and its commitment to inspiring and empowering the next generation of technology leaders. Later that day, Miller will lead an engaging workshop, offering participants and students further opportunities to learn and grow with a sneak peak at the Nomad Futurist learning and development platform.
