As the power densities of IT equipment have increased over the past twenty years, data center designers and operators face a number of challenges when it comes to managing this intensified heat load. Older facilities find cooling this equipment nearly impossible. Even data centers designed just five years ago are finding that they need to come up with workarounds. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) will continue to drive power and density levels higher, as will processor manufacturers looking to meet customer demands.

A new special report from Nautilus Data Technologies explores issues and potential solutions to supporting high density cooling in an efficient and sustainable way. Reducing energy usage is one key component as data centers strive to improve energy efficiency.
