Data Center Innovation: Driving Flexibility with Microservices

May 4, 2021
It is imperative in today’s fast-paced data center environment that product and service innovations be rolled out quickly and safely. A new white paper from QTS explains how microservices have boosted the speed, flexibility, and resilience of their proprietary Service Delivery Platform (SDP).

Data center innovation must be done quickly and safely in today’s fast-paced business environment. Traditionally, an application grows larger and more complex over time, ultimately making it more complicated and time consuming to update. Micoservices, on the other hand, allow software developers break large applications down into smaller, more manageable pieces. This gives data centers, and the customers, the ability to do updates more frequently, and with very little downtime.

QTS applied the microservices model to its Service Delivery Platform (SDP). SDP allows the company to deliver real-time, remotely accessible insights to their data center customers. Breaking the large application into pieces allows them to deliver key data center insights to their customers more quickly than was ever possible with the monolithic model of the past.

This report explains how microservices can help with data centers innovation, flexibility, and resilience.
