Economization is a critical for conserving energy at data centers. A new white paper from Data Aire, subtitled “A Guide to Achieving Year-round Economization with Your Precision Cooling System,” explores the concept of economization and why it’s important. In the report, the authors explore the key things engineers should consider when choosing between an airside or a waterside economizer. This includes the financial factors that make economization solutions, or free cooling, critical in a data center environment. Another critical component is the ever changing industry regulations and requirements put in place to support carbon reduction initiatives. A brief explanation of the impact of ASHRAE Standard 90.1, California’s title 24 Energy Standard, and others is presented.

The report also presents two mini case studies illustrating the scalable and efficient solutions for data center growth that are offered by Data Aire’s gForce Ultra system.
