Texas Data Centers Rely on Generators Amid Power Emergency

Amid a statewide power emergency, major data centers in Texas are running on generator power to keep customers online and reduce load on the state’s struggling grid. Large operators say service is uninterrupted, but news reports indicate some data centers in the region are experiencing outages.

H5 Data Centers is pursuing a strategy of expanding in growing second-tier markets, tracking the expanding geography of cloud adoption and content distribution. Its newest acquisition is in San Antonio.

CyrusOne Pre-Leases 24 Megawatt Data Center in San Antonio

CyrusOne has pre-leased an entire 24-megawatt data center in San Antonio, the company said today. The 184,000 square foot facility was designed and built in just seven months.
