The data center industry is finishing 2025 at full throttle: hyperscalers racing to secure gigawatts of power, developers breaking ground on billion-dollar campuses, and vendors sold out on liquid cooled hardware through mid-2026.

Yet beneath the record spend, a debate is taking shape: are we in the early innings of a decades-long AI supercycle, or approaching the top of an unsustainable build curve?
