October’s top data center jobs on Data Center Frontier featured two international opportunities — one in Singapore, and one in Montreal — as well as two data center facility manager positions on the West coast.

The month’s best opportunities in colocation also include a Commissioning Project Manager position in Reston, Va., amid the booming Northern Virginia data center market.

International opportunities

DC CxA Practice Leader
Singapore
This position is with a firm that provides design, commissioning consulting and management expertise in the data center/mission critical facilities space with the mindset to provide reliability, energy efficiency, sustainable design and LEED expertise when providing these consulting services. The lead commission engineer based out of Singapore will manage projects, plans, provide and gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary engineering commissioning role for large facility projects. Verticals include government, commercial, financial services, hospitals, mission critical facilities and more. The chosen candidate must have 10-15 years experience in the electrical and mechanical field.

Data Center Construction PM
Montreal. Quebec
This opportunity is with a provider of mission-critical data center construction solutions. The new Data Center Construction Project Manager must have experience managing data center construction projects with a design/build firm from ground up, as well as relevant experience in the data center construction industry. The chosen candidate will plan and organize large scale data center construction projects, as well as establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of  corporate policies.

Mechanical Commissioning PM
Los Angeles 
This position is with an engineering design and commissioning company who is a regional leader in their area. The chosen candidate will participate in daily commissioning activity meetings which services include equipment pre-start-up and start-up procedures; preparing commissioning test procedures and reports; write comprehensive reports and more. Candidates must have 10-15 years of experience in the mechanical field.

Data Center Facility Manager
San Jose, Calif.
This opportunity is with a leading mission-critical data center developer/wholesaler and colocation provider.  The firm provides reliability of mission-critical facilities for many of the world’s largest organizations. The company is looking for an experienced Data Center Facility Manager/Chief Engineer to support a critical data center. The Data Center Manager will be responsible for managing the operation and maintenance of the critical facility physical infrastructure systems in accordance with company’s policies and procedures. Ten to 15 years of data center/critical facility operations and maintenance experience is required.

Data Center Facility Manager
Portland, Ore.
This colocation provider is looking for an experienced Data Center Facility Manager/Chief Engineer to support a critical data center. The Data Center Facility Manager will be managing Mechanical and Electrical Technicians, as well as the local relationship with the customer. Ten to 15 years of data center/critical facility operations and maintenance experience is required, as well as previous experience as a Client Manager.

Project Manager – Data Center Construction
Phoenix, Ariz. 
This position requires experience managing data center construction projects with a design/build firm from ground up, and experience managing data center construction projects with budgets between $25 million to $100 million. Responsibilities include planning and organize large scale data center construction projects. The chosen candidate will put together critical facilities construction project plans – size up, costs, scheduling , timeline., as well as oversee the MEP Portion of the project and more.

MEP Superintendent – Data Center Construction
Salt Lake City, Utah
 This opportunity is with a provider of mission-critical design build solutions, and the firm has  multiple critical facility openings throughout the U.S. The new Data Center MEP Superintendent will be responsible for field activities associated with the project, including supervision of all field construction work by electrical and mechanical subcontractors and self-performed work, and will keep in constant contact with Subcontractors to ensure timely work to keep project on time and within budget. This position requires eight or more years of data center and critical facilities MEP construction experience.

Commissioning Project Manager
Reston Va.
Our client is a leader in critical cacilities assessment and commissioning services in the in the U.S. This opportunity in the Northern Virginia data center market covers verticals like government, commercial, financial services, hospitals, mission critical facilities and more. Responsibilities include managing projects, plans, providing and gathering specifications, and executing assignments in a multidisciplinary electrical engineering commissioning role for large facility projects.  Seven to 10 years of experience in the electrical/mechanical field is required.

Mechanical Project Engineer
Jamestown, N.C.
This opportunity is with a leading mechanical contractor offering a wide range of HVAC and mechanical critical cooling service and solutions. Responsibilities include the planning efforts in implementing and managing the integration of projects and timeline of specific customer projects. Five to 12 or more years of experience required, and a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
