Data Center Facility Manager
A provider of mission-critical data center solutions is looking for an experienced Data Center Facility Manager/Chief Engineer to support a critical data center. Responsibilities for the position — which requires 10-15 years of of data center/critical facility operations and maintenance experience — include managing the operation and maintenance of the critical facility physical infrastructure systems, as well as managing the site’s mechanical and electrical technicians. The chosen candidate will be expected to establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance.
MEP Superintendent – Critical Facilities
Location: Ashburn, Va.
This Superintendent position for critical facility construction requires eight or more years of experience in commercial/critical facilities MEP Construction experience. Project size experience and scope, as well as complexity, will be a large factor in determining the right candidate for the job. Integrated project delivery (IDP) is a plus, as well. The hire will be responsible for field activities associated with projects, including supervision of all field construction work by electrical and mechanical subcontractors and self-performed work. The hire will also manage assistant project managers and other field personnel.
Project Manager – Critical Facilities
This Critical Facility Construction PM position in Dallas requires experience managing data center construction projects with a design/build firm from “ground up”. Client facing and relationship skills are expected, and the candidate must be familiar with the design process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects. The chosen candidate can expect to plan and organize large scale data center construction projects, as well as put together critical facilities construction project plans, including size, costs, scheduling and timeline.
An engineering design and commissioning company in the Northeast that provides design, commissioning consulting and management expertise in the data center/mission critical facilities space is looking to hire an electrical engineer with three to seven years of experience. Specifically, the company is looking for engineers with data center critical facility experience. The chosen candidate will create conceptual designs gathered from meetings with the client, and establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policies. Experience with electrical systems such as UPS (uninterruptible power supply), generators, switchgears, and batteries is a must, according to the firm.
Project Manager – Critical Facilities
Location: Buffalo, N.Y.
This Critical Facility Construction PM position opening in Buffalo, N.Y., requires experience managing data center construction projects in conjunction with a design/build firm, as well as working on data center construction projects with budgets of $25 million to $100 million or more. The eventual hire must be familiar with the design process of building systems for data center and missions critical projects, and will be responsible for planning and organizing large scale data center construction projects.
